Well, I was relying on some leg wraps from this FOR order. Does anyone know if british army wwi long puttees are readily available apart from WPG?

Cheers

See the very first post on the kit loan thread Ranj! I've got some you can borrow along with the helmet, or a pair of jackboots, your preference.

:) Thanks Pete, I'll borrow the puttees if that's okay, the boots are too small.

Yith, my RAF style boots have been lined with fake sheepskin, had bits cut out of them and buckles attached, so they probably aren't suitable anymore.

Cheers

I'm assuming that this is still a 'no show', I think the screws need to be turned on this, let him know that if he doesn't deliver then he will be black-balled on all re-enactment sites, I can't afford to lose the money that I've paid, (Rich, that's in no way a dig at you and I don't hold you responsible for the kit not turning up), so I've every intention of posting a warning on all the sites I'm registered on and would suggest everyone else who gets let down does the same.

Believe me, I've already told him that and I'm sure Pete has too. Whatever the result he won't be on my recommended sellers list anymore.
I've not heard anything for a while now despite my emails. Pete was the last to have any contact.

Yep. And the arsehole promised to send Rich a copy of the confirmation of posting when he replied to me. I'm not going to bother contacting the tit again, because all I've had from him is lies. Now we can see why he doesn't take paypal, or sell on Ebay, because then people could get their money back easily. As it is, we're bent over a barrel and having to wait for stuff to show up.

If it goes on for much longer, I'll look into the possiblility of getting some nice, Ukranian policemen to visit him, as he's basically committed theft in my opinion.

For now, I'm with Pete. I'll black ball the f***er on every reenacting and airsoft site and forum that I can.

Edit - Despite my better judgement, I've emailed him again, pulling no punches, calling him a liar and a thief.

I've phoned the Ukranian Embassy in London (yes, I know, I'm obsessive!), where a very nice meerkat said I needed to call the British Embassy in Kiev, which I did. I was told that the person who made the payment and ordered the goods is the one who needs to contact them regarding a complaint and possible criminal charges. So, Rich, can you email them or call them? I can forward the emails I have from Alex to you as further proof should you need it.

Some of you may think I'm being a bit extreme but, I don't care. I'm a firm believer in good, old fashioned customer service. I can live with slow delivery, as long as I'm kept informed. This hasn't happened in this case and alex has pocketed a considerable amount of our money and provided nothing in return but lies. If he was a UK dealer, I'd have gone to "pay him a visit" by now.

Edit - The chap at the British Embassy also said it might be worth contacting your bank and trying to instigate a chargeback Rich.

For the record, I did chargeback recently and it worked a treat. Not sure it's relevant for bank transfers, but there's loads of info here:

I agree, enough is enough and this needs to be sorted. I'd rather have my kit but I'll take getting my money back over nothing.
Send me the details Pete and I'll contact them. I'll have a word with the bank about a chargeback as well.

Looking on other forums I think there are half a dozen other cases (found in a 5 minute search) of goods not being recieved from Alex recently who it may be worth contacting.

Anyone who wants to prod him about my order too, feel free (My name's Edward Wheeler). My attempts have been thus far unsuccessful.

I tried that before and he promised it was posted then, should have set the alarm bells ringing. :banghead:

Is that meant to be a link or an email address as it doesn't go anywhere?
